Viswanathan Anand to do commentary during the FIDE World Championship Match
Who better to be a commentator for the upcoming World Championship at Expo 2020 Dubai than a person who has fought Carlsen in two matches himself? FIDE is proud to announce five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand as the commentator for the official broadcast of the Match.
“Looking forward to being in Dubai. What promises to be a great match. Its even better when you can say “How come he didn’t play the move?“ See you soon,” the five-time world champion in three different formats wrote, replying to a tweet by FIDE announcing him as a commentator for the match.
Anand’s debut as a commentator was in 2020 as a part of the Chess.com commentary team for the FIDE Candidates Tournament.
